Who We Are

Lab Powder Coating, Inc. was born in 2018 out of a desire to provide a quality finish to metal products through craftsmanship, pride, and integrity. With more than 60 years combined experience in manufacturing – through engineering, management, sales, purchasing, and even production – Pete and Bonnie Riddle are happy to take on any task great or small! Located in south central Virginia, Lab Powder Coating is able to service most of Virginia and parts of North Carolina. We are a woman and veteran owned business and are very proud of our heritage.  We believe in the advancing and support of women, our veterans, our country, and our community.  And we support all through various projects such as our local fire department and its ladies auxiliary, our local American Legion, our church, and other various charities.

Pete Riddle is a Tool-Maker by trade and a degreed engineer in manufacturing systems.  He has been a salesperson and applications engineer for several cutting tool companies.  Pete has managed tool and die shops, and even ventured into drag racing and automotive repair.  He is dedicated to his craft and believes in excellence through customer service, quality, and honesty.  With pride comes excellence and our mission is to always provide quality through excellence.

Bonnie Riddle has an extensive background in metals.  She has held purchasing positions with several manufacturing facilities, managed a steel distribution center, worked outside and inside sales for steel sales and machined parts sales.  She has managed payables, inventory control, and even worked production at an early age.  Bonnie’s dedication is to loyalty, hard work, and family.  Our customers are as much a part of our family is our blood relatives.

Our company name was created in memory of our Labrador Retriever, Daisy Pearl. Daisy was the best companion ever. We got her as a puppy and she stayed by our side until cancer caused us to have to put her down. So the business is a reminder everyday of the love we shared. It’s bitter sweet but good memories.

A few great companies we have had the pleasure to work with!
